DotEmu has announced that it's bringing the 2009 remake of Ys Chronicles II to iOS and Android "soon."

As with the mobile port of its predecessor, Ys Chronicles I, this sequel has been adapted for its new platform with touch controls.

DotEmu did a great job with the port of the first game, getting a Silver Award in our review, so the sequel should be just as swell.

Ys Chronicles II picks up right where Ys Chronicles I left us. After having collected the sacred books, Adol Christin is now ready to explore the true secrets of the island of Ys.

"As Adol, you’ll show off your swordsmanship, discover new weapons, and for the first time use magic to free Esteria from evil in the second chapter of this renowned series," adds DotEmu.

We'll let you know whenever we hear a more specific release date or, as might be the case, when Ys Chronicles II is out.

1、
Simple is as simple does, and Don't Hit the Walls is probably as simple as you can get. In this world of sphere-shrinking, you've got to have the right reflexes – and why not give it a go? It's out now on iOS.

As mentioned above Don't Hit the Walls is wonderfully simple but in the right way. Some games you look at and try desperately not to roll your eyes at the uninspiring sight, but this game uses its graphics wisely. Sticking to a red, orange, and yellow colour palette, it knows its genre without being fussy, and I love that.

Don't hit the Walls is an arcade game in its barest form. With one very specific goal and two very simple mechanics, this one's a no-brainer. Get as high as score as you can while dragging the ball from side to side and shrink the sphere to get it through the ever-constricting gaps. This is what I'd call a travel or 'toilet' game, for those of you who bring your phone to the loo with you. I'm not judging.

Grab the game on the App Store now free-to-play and see how far you can get.

2、"Alice Selwyn's son! Lord, but you're welcome! Many's the time I've wondered where the descendants of the schoolmaster were living. I knew there was none on the Island. Alice--Alice--the first baby ever born in that little house. No baby ever brought more joy! I've dandled her a hundred times. It was from my knee she took her first steps alone. Can't I see her mother's face watching her--and it was near sixty years ago. Is she living yet?"
Psssst. Hey, psssst. Have you heard? Tonight, live from 5pm UK time, everyone's favourite Twitch stream king, James Gilmour, is going to be playing Scythe: Digital Edition for your viewing pleasure.

Now, we don't want the word getting out to any uncool people who might not be cool, which is why we're only telling you. You can tell your friends though, so long as they're as awesome as you are. Hell, tell them if they're not actually. Tell them if they suck. The more the merrier.

If you don't know what Scythe is, then here's a primer - it's a strategic board game adaptation set in a steampunk past where World War One has raged into the 20s. There's resource gathering, giant robots, and plenty more for you to sink your teeth into.

3、Update: We've got some more information from an official Apple press release about what to expect from Apple Arcade. We've added the pertinent passages below.
"Apple Arcade will Feature Brand New, Original Games from Acclaimed Indie Developers, Major Studios and Legendary Creators Hironobu Sakaguchi, Ken Wong and Will Wright"The service will feature games from Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, Mistwalker Corporation, SEGA, Snowman, ustwo games and dozens more.""Apple Arcade will give customers the freedom to try any game from its handpicked collection of titles that are all-you-can-play, have no ads, ad tracking or additional purchases, and respect user privacy."Apple's game subscription now has a name - it's called Apple Arcade, and it's going to feature more than a hundred titles, and apparently all of them are going to be exclusive to the service. It's going to roll out in 150+ countries, and it's going to be available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.

Much like we suggested in our piece earlier today, Apple Arcade isn't going to be a cloud based service. Instead you pay a monthly sub to get access to the entire catalogue of games included in the so-called arcade. It's sort of like an ever-lasting Humble Bundle, or a more packed PS Plus, albeit without the extra service that PlayStation's subscription model offers.

The games won't be available anywhere else - they're exclusive to Apple Arcade - although whether that means you'll still be able to buy them normally from the App Store isn't super clear right now. You won't get them on any other subscription service or mobile platform, that much has been stated.Pay to playOne thing we're particularly interested in hearing about is how much it's going to cost - that's something that Apple hasn't revealed yet, but it could well make or break the service as a viable option for players. Too expensive and you're unlikely to snare people, too cheap and developers won't want to put their game on there for fear of losing potential revenue.

We're definitely excited about Apple Arcade's potential - you could look at it as a new lease of life for premium games on mobile. The games available won't be free to play, so Apple Arcade could well be a new way for developers to create the experiences they want while still being sure they're going to be able to make money. Once again, how much money those developers are going to be making hasn't been revealed yet.

Apple Arcade is set to launch in the fall, so you can expect much more information on it as we move forward. Is there anything in particular you'd like to know about the new service? Or any games you'd love to see on it? Let us know in the comments below.
All melting; though our drops this diff'rence bore:
