I'm not sure this sale is supposed to be on yet, as the game's official Twitter account said that we should expect it tomorrow but who cares. Lost Socks: Naughty Brothers is already on sale at £0.79 and it's quite the steal at that price.
"It's so beautiful that it hurts me," said Anne softly. "Perfect things like that always did hurt me--I remember I called it `the queer ache' when I was a child. What is the reason that pain like this seems inseparable from perfection? Is it the pain of finality--when we realise that there can be nothing beyond but retrogression?"

There's an embarrassment of riches on the App Store when it comes to licensed Games Workshop games. But that doesn't mean that there isn't space for another one. Which is good, because I saw two today.

One of them is The Horus Heresy Legions. It's a card game that owes a decent amount to Hearthstone. But it's more than that. Built from the ground up as a mobile game, it's sharper, its play time is shorter, and there's a ferocity to it that fits in with its grim dark grim grim dark future setting.

I only got to play it for a few minutes, but that was enough to get a feel for it. It's a deck-builder, with characters lifted from the Horus Heresy books. If you're not familiar with those, a really bad thing happens and everything gets more awful. There's more to it than that, but it doesn't really matter.
Legions of doom
The game would work if it didn't have the GW branding, but it adds a thuggish stomp to play. There are space marines, there are chaos space marines. There's a lot of fighting. A campaign walks you through some of the battles that made up the conflict. Then there's online play.

That's where the meat of the game is. You can join clans, called Lodges here, and there are events that let you change the content that the game is going to receive. If one side comes at the top of an event leaderboard, then different cards and decks will be available than if the other wins.

There's a lot of good ideas here, and the game gets the feel of the grungy spaceships and war torn planets just right. There's a hefty blob of stragtegy too, with plenty of different cards and potential deck combinations to play with.
Killing time
Legions feels like a game that gets both the platform it's being built for, and the people who are going to be playing it. The addition of GW's rich lore is just the icing on the cake. Even if you're not a fan, the card chucking underneath everything is good enough that it's unlikely it's going to matter.

There are plenty of Games Workshop games on the App Store. But this one feels like it's going to more than earn its place among them.

'But quickly on this side the verdict went:

In the years since its release, Brawlhalla's roster has become as weird and varied as Smash's is sizeable. With crossovers ranging from Cartoon Network's Adventure Time to Ubisoft's Rayman, it's fair to say that the arcade brawler has a character for just about anyone.

Now, however, a further four heroes have been added for players to master, and they all hail from the WWE. They are Undertaker, Asuka, Roman Reigns, and the legendary "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Much like the game's many other fighters, these guys all boast their own moves and special playstyles. The news of their arrival first appeared over on Nintendo Enthusiast.

Apple announced the new iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, and iPad Pro last week but didn't give all the hardware details. That hasn't stopped people finding them out.

Developer Hamza Sood rather smartly used the Xcode iOS simulator to discover what RAM the new Apple phones and tablet will have.

According to Apple Insider, Sood ran a small test application "containing three images, which are included or excluded dynamically based on the amount of RAM available."

This revealed that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus should have 2GB of RAM. The iPad Pro, on the other hand, should have 4GB of RAM.

These are significant improvements compared to previous iPhones. The iPhone 5, 5s, 6, and 6 Plus each only had 1GB of RAM. Apple seems to have doubled that for the iPhone 6s.

The iPad Pro, of course, doubles that again at 4GB of RAM. The advantages of more RAM is that your phone (or tablet) can handle running more apps at once.

So you can be playing a game, pause it, check your tweets, then your email, open up another game, get bored of that one, and then return to the first game you were playing without losing any progress.

You can be a multitasking monster and your new iPhone or iPad shouldn't even flinch, hopefully.

In April earlier this year we heard about a tidy little title called OPUS: Rocket of Whispers. Lucky us, it's coming to iOS and Android this September.

Haegin's popular baseball game Homerun Clash has received a major update that adds a new stadium to the sport's title alongside new outfits, skills and legendary items. The update is now live for both the iOS and Android versions of the game.

The new baseball venue is called the Polar Stadium, which as the name implies draws its inspiration from snow-capped mountain peaks and glaciers. All the things you associate with the colder weather essentially. It will provide a new home for higher level players to hone their craft.

The latest in Taito's arcade shoot-'em-up series Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours is heading to PS Vita and PS4 on November 30th.

It'll also be available on Steam for Windows come December 3rd.

As with other Dariusburst games this one's all about shooting alien sea-monsters and robotic battleships. But the number of stages it has is absurd.

Get this: The story mode has hundreds of stages that span the entire Dariusburst timeline. Plus, the AC Chronicle mode is said to have over 3000 unlockable stages.

Not to mention that the stages let you choose your own path through them and level of challenge with it.

One of the other defining features of Chronicle Saviours when it hit the arcades was that it had a super widescreen setup.

Whether that widescreen view will somehow make its way to the console versions hasn't been said but the Steam version will support multiple monitors for that purpose at least.

Focusing on the PS Vita version, though, it will be single player only (the PS4 gets 4-player co-op) but will be cross-save and share trophies and leaderboards with the PS4 version.

There are even more details on the game's website. But hopefully you know now whether you're interested in it when it arrives later this month.

Bethesda has released the official Fallout Pip-Boy app on iOS and Android.

It's meant to be used as a companion app while you play Fallout 4 on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One. But, err, the game isn't out until next week.

What you can do with it, for now, is check out an inventory and stats screen, as well as a map of the wasteland - it's not marked except for Vault 111.

You can also play a Missile Command-like mini-game called "Atomic Command."

These features should expand once Fallout 4 is out and will then interact with your version of the game.

If you bought the Pip-Boy Edition of the game you'll be getting a device that you can strap to your arm once the game does arrive.

You can then put your smartphone into this and, with this app, have it working like an action Pip-Boy. Pretty neat, huh?

If you want it now or later, Fallout Pip-Boy is available to download on the App Store and Google Play.

I think we all secretly knew that Nintendo Switch Online wasn't going to launch without a little bit of ridicule, but in its current state it does seem a bit flawed.

To catch you up quickly, Nintendo Switch Online is a companion app to help enhance your Switch experience. With the launch of Splatoon 2 happening tomorrow, SplatNet 2 is a very welcome sight. The rest of the app, however, is looking a little sparse in comparison.

One of the main issues raised by Kotaku is that the process of using the voice chat seems like more of a faff than it's worth. You can only take part in private battles and private conversations that someone's got to host, but if you switch to another app (if you quickly check Twitter or pick up a call, for example), you'll be kicked from the room until you rejoin.

According to Eurogamer you'll also have to keep your phone screen on in order to stay connected to the room, meaning that your battery'll probably drain faster than a bottle of prosecco on a British summer evening. Oh, and you'll also need a splitter, or the official S2 headset, if you want to hear the game in handheld mode and your friends at the same time.

What do you guys think? Does Nintendo Switch Online have the right idea, or would you rather just stick to Skype/Discord?

The King of Fighters ALLSTAR has recently been updated to introduce a plethora of new content to Netmarble's popular beat 'em up action game. This will see added features, characters, events and even a brand new game mode for players to tackle.

This new game variant is called the Dungeon of Trials and will task players with battling against a boss character that can never be truly defeated. Instead, the aim of this mode is to inflict maximum damage within a set time using five fighters. The fight switches between two different setups every 30 seconds to try and keep everything interesting.
