Religious love put out religion's eye.
AN OLD WOMAN found an empty jar which had lately been full of prime old wine and which still retained the fragrant smell of its former contents. She greedily placed it several times to her nose, and drawing it backwards and forwards said, "O most delicious! How nice must the Wine itself have been, when it leaves behind in the very vessel which contained it so sweet a perfume!"

In some popular TV shows, both foreign and Russian, there is an entertaining mini-game in which teams compete in dexterity and flexibility. Players move walls with carved figures - if a player manages to occupy the necessary pose he will get points and slip further, if not, he will fall into the pool and lose. Cross Fort embodied this game as a separate one touch arcade, in which you need to dodge the approaching walls using the poses at the bottom of the screen.

If you haven't played the Silver Award-winning Transistor yet, why not?

Maybe you played developer Supergiant's previous game Bastion and wasn't keen on it. Or perhaps Transistor's £7.99 / $9.99 asking price was too much.

While we can't promise that Transistor will appeal to those who didn't like Bastion that potential pricing issue has been temporarily alleviated, at least.

Yep, Supergiant has put Transistor on sale for the first time on iOS. For a short time it'll only cost you £3.99 / $4.99. Half price, then.

Our reviewer said that it's "Beautiful to look at, intriguing in most of the right ways, and a lot of fun - Transistor is well worth a look." It also has a talking sword and is very pretty.

That enough to convince you? If not, try reading our whole review. You can purchase Transistor on the App Store.
The Ass Carrying the Image

Well that was a hell of a Direct. Not one of my predictions came true (apart from a stray dream of Captain Toad DLC, nice), and it all wrapped up with The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening getting a shiny new 3D remake on Switch.

It looks like the same weird game from yesteryear - Link facing off against his regular enemies in top-down dungeons and the like, mixed with random cameos of Mario enemies. But this time it's got a lick of paint, and you can play it in glorious HD.

There's not much more info than that at the moment - all we know is that it's due out sometime in 2019. We'll keep you posted as we learn more over the next year, of course.

26 years after its original release, The Legend of #Zelda: Link's Awakening will be reborn as a new experience for #NintendoSwitch later this year! #NintendoDirect pic.twitter.com/2wsdTAVn8R— Nintendo of Europe (@NintendoEurope) February 13, 2019Of paled pearls and rubies red as blood;
